OUR STORY

The name Yamba Queen Creole Cuisine derives from my mother, Jannis Ballard Dennison who was crowned Queen Yamba in 1952 in Opelousas, Louisiana which is at the very heart of Cajun/Creole cuisine.  

 

Upon her passing I was compelled to name my catering business in her honor as she was so influential in my early years of cooking beginning

at the tender age of 10 years old.

 

Although Yamba Queen Creole Cuisine is a Los Angeles based catering service, your taste buds will dance at the taste of Louisiana’s finest.  We encourage you to take a leap, as any dish can be prepared upon request. We’re known for our professionalism, fresh, quality “cream of the crop” ingredients and our commitment to customer satisfaction.  It’s this standard of excellence that is at the core of our values and has provided the impetus for us to grow into the business we are today.
